The Fat and Cellulite Reduction Program at SKIN incorporates LipoDissolve, a specialized form of injection lipolysis and VelaShapeTM, the first and only FDA-cleared non-invasive medical solution for Circumferential Reduction*.  These treatments can shrink localized collections of unwanted fat (of the thighs, buttocks, hips, waist, "love-handles", arms and calves), improve the appearance of cellulite and increase the firmness of loose skin.

*clinical studies used by the FDA involved treatments of the thigh

A SKIN specialist will review previous and current skin care, perform a detailed skin analysis, and discuss general health history before recommending a customized treatment program.

SKIN's Fat and Cellulite Reduction Program involves a coordinated series of 16 treatments using an FDA cleared medical device that delivers Radio Frequency and Infra Red Light energy into the fat and cellulite. These are performed twice weekly over 8 weeks. In addition, a new and effective technique, called "Injection Lipolysis" can be added to the program to achieve non-surgical liposuction. These treatments involve injections of a special combination of chemicals that biochemically stimulate fat breakdown. The Fat and Cellulite Reduction Treatment Program will include 16 treatments with the VelaSmoothe technology and may or may not include Injection Lipolysis treatments to accelerate and maximize the fat and cellulite reduction.

  • SKIN VelaShape Treatments The latest technology available that combines Bi-polar Radiofrequency (RF), Infrared Light Energy, plus Vacuum and Mechanical Massage to deploy targeted heat to adipose tissue. The combination of these energies increases the metabolism of stored energy, increases lymphatic drainage and reduces or shrinks the size of the actual fat cells and fat chambers. The net result is gradual smoothening of skin's surface with a noticeable reduction in cellulite.

  • SKIN Injection Lipolysis Treatments involve an entirely non-surgical method of liposuction using a standardized mixture of 4-5 pharmaceutical agents. Injection Lipolysis is not the same as Mesotherapy, which to date has not been shown to be clinically effective at reducing localized fat deposits and does not have the safety profile provided by the Injection Lipolysis technique. The Injection Lipolysis solution is injected into parts of the body with isolated fat deposits, which are then broken down and released through sweat, urine or feces, over a period of two weeks. This method of fat removal does not require general anesthesia and does not cause scaring of the skin or in the deeper tissues. Some bruising in the days following the injection should be expected.

Clients typically respond to this program with a measurable and circumferential reduction in the areas of unwanted fat. The most common areas for this are the outer thighs, inner thighs, hips, abdomen, buttocks, bra line, calves, upper arms and neck. The measurable reductions range from 1.5 cm to 9 cm. The fat reduction resulting from this program requires no maintenance treatments as long as clients maintain their weight.

Cellulite (lumpy, bumpy, irregular cottage cheese, orange peel like skin) is a chronic disease and far more difficult to treat. The smoothing and skin tightening effect of the Fat and Cellulite Reduction Program will require maintenance treatments to retain the cosmetic improvement. The frequency of follow-up treatments is dependent on the client, however, one every two-three months is average.

As individual programs will vary from client to client, the associated cost will vary as well. However, a quote will be provided during the initial assessment process.

See our price list for individual treatment costs.
